Overview
- The broadcaster confirmed a single live revival of Wetten, dass..? on 5 December from Halle with Bill and Tom Kaulitz as hosts and a pre-show countdown anchored by Janin Ullmann and Marvin Fischer.
- ZDF reported roughly 288,000 ticket requests for the programme, a record level of public interest that the network says it wants to convert into strong TV and online viewing.
- Entertainer Parshad Esmaeili will produce behind‑the‑scenes content for the show’s Instagram and TikTok channels but will not appear as an on‑air co‑host during the live broadcast.
- The Kaulitzes revealed on their podcast that an unnamed, persistent singer has repeatedly lobbied for a spot and that Tom privately gave the artist false hope while Bill refused, and they also said Thomas and Karina Gottschalk will not watch the premiere.
- ZDF has not published the official guest list yet so the broadcast’s artistic balance between honoring the show’s legacy and appealing to younger viewers remains the main thing to watch before the 5 December airing.
