Katy Perry and All-Female Crew to Embark on Blue Origin Spaceflight

The upcoming mission, led by Lauren Sánchez, will mark Blue Origin's first all-female crew and is expected to launch this spring.

Blue Origin's NS-31 mission will feature six women, including pop star Katy Perry, CBS anchor Gayle King, and Lauren Sánchez, fiancée of Jeff Bezos.
The crew will include former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn.
The suborbital flight will cross the Kármán line, over 60 miles above Earth, offering several minutes of weightlessness and panoramic views.
This will be Blue Origin’s first all-female crew and the second such mission globally since Valentina Tereshkova’s solo flight in 1963.
The exact launch date has not been announced, but the crew is undergoing training for the fully automated New Shepard spacecraft.
