Katie Lou Samuelson Returns to Basketball, Eyes Paris 2024 Olympics

After missing Tokyo Olympics due to COVID-19, Samuelson is back on the court and set to compete in the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup.

Katie Lou Samuelson, who missed the Tokyo Olympics due to a positive COVID-19 test, is returning to compete for a spot in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Samuelson and her husband, Devin Cannady, are set to compete in the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The U.S. has already qualified for the Paris Games in all four basketball disciplines, but no players have been officially picked for any of the teams.
Samuelson is very much in the women's 3x3 mix for next summer, and Cannady has hopes as well for the men's 3x3 game.
Samuelson, a star player at UConn and the No. 4 pick in the 2019 WNBA draft, is back on the court for the first time since becoming a mom.
