- Kate Winslet was announced on June 26 as the latest ambassador for The King’s Foundation after meeting King Charles III at a June 12 awards ceremony at St James’s Palace.
- The charity was established in 1990 by then Prince of Wales to promote environmental sustainability, field-to-fork farming and outdoor education for young people.
- The foundation offers heritage skills training in millinery, embroidery and woodworking and has educated over 15,000 students while impacting more than 500,000 lives.
- Winslet joins an ambassadorial team that includes Sir David Beckham, Sienna Miller, Sir Rod Stewart, Penny Lancaster and other cultural and sports figures.
- As part of its 35th anniversary, she will work with fellow envoys on joint campaigns to raise awareness of the foundation’s conservation initiatives.
