Kate Middleton Recuperating from Abdominal Surgery, Expected to Resume Duties After Easter

Prince William and King Charles III also to Limit Official Engagements During Recovery Period

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is recovering from abdominal surgery at her Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.
The nature of the surgery has not been disclosed, but it is reported to be noncancerous.
Middleton is expected to be absent from public duties until after Easter, missing key royal events such as the BAFTAs, St. David's Day, the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey, St. Patrick's Day, and Royal Easter Sunday.
Prince William, her husband, has halted his official engagements while Middleton was in the hospital and will undertake limited appearances once her care is settled.
King Charles III, who underwent treatment for an enlarged prostate, will also be out of action over the coming days while he recuperates.
