Kate Middleton Honors Late Teen Photographer on International Women’s Day

The Princess of Wales paid tribute to Liz Hatton, a young cancer patient who fulfilled her dream of photographing a royal before her passing.

Kate Middleton remembered Liz Hatton, a 17-year-old photographer who died of a rare cancer, in a heartfelt post for International Women’s Day.
Hatton, diagnosed with an aggressive desmoplastic small round cell tumor in early 2024, created a bucket list that included meeting and photographing a royal.
In October 2024, Hatton met Kate and Prince William at Windsor Castle, where she photographed an event and posed with the couple alongside her family.
Kate, who had recently completed chemotherapy herself, described Liz’s creativity and strength as an inspiration, and highlighted her mother Vicky's resilience.
