Overview

  • ‘Creadores’ opened to the public on July 30 at the V&A East Storehouse as a self-guided mini-exhibition running until early 2026.
  • As royal patron and guest curator, Middleton worked with museum staff to handpick eight objects spanning from a 15th-century glazed tile to a 1960 Oliver Messel ballet costume.
  • Highlights include a Beatrix Potter watercolor of a forest glade, a J. H. Dearle folding screen, a Qing dynasty porcelain vase and a 19th-century handmade quilt.
  • Visitors can access the showcase using the V&A’s on-demand viewing system, which offers appointments to examine pieces in person at the former Olympic Park site.
  • At the Young V&A, Middleton’s June-curated ‘Play, Imagine, Design’ exhibition remains on view following its three-year renovation with six child-focused objects celebrating creativity and play.
