Overview

• Officers and municipal trade inspectors entered the Schillerviertel venue Wednesday evening, detaining the 68-year-old operator after he tried to flee with a package.
• The package contained prepackaged cannabis products and methadone tablets.
• Subsequent searches of the premises, cellar rooms and the suspect’s flat uncovered about 2.3 kg of cannabis, roughly 300 g of methadone and more than 3,000 prescription tablets.
• Investigators also seized 295 cartons of unstamped cigarettes, nearly €2,000 in cash, multiple phones, drug-dealing equipment and two airguns found behind a drinks machine.
• Four bicycles with manipulated frame numbers were confiscated, with ownership checks ongoing as the suspect remains in pre-trial detention on a judge’s order.
