The film marks Sreeleela's Bollywood debut after gaining fame in South Indian cinema, including her dance number in 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'.
Originally rumored to be titled 'Aashiqui 3', the film's title has not been confirmed, though it features elements reminiscent of the 'Aashiqui' franchise.
Triptii Dimri was initially cast but exited the project due to scheduling conflicts, according to director Anurag Basu.
The movie, produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner, is set to release during Diwali 2025, clashing with the romantic horror-comedy 'Thama'.
