- Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the 130-square-metre Kalaloka outlet at Kempegowda International Airport in September.
- Industries Minister M B Patil has finalized the stall’s design, product range and international-standard packaging in coordination with the Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre and the Department of Industries and Commerce.
- The retail space will feature six signature heritage items including coffee, Mysuru silk, KSDL sandal soap, Lidkar leather goods, handicrafts and handwoven textiles.
- Travellers will also find 28 Geographical Indication-tagged products such as Channapatna toys presented in premium packaging and branding.
- Kempegowda Airport authorities have granted the stall a 50 percent rent concession; tenders will soon be invited for a second Kalaloka shop in the airport’s International Lounge.
