Overview

• The government revoked the suspensions of IPS officers Vikash Kumar Vikash, B Dayananda and Shekhar H Tekkannavar plus two state police officers—C Balakrishna and A K Girish—pending formal disciplinary proceedings.
• Vikash is now posted as Inspector General of Police, Internal Security Division, Dayananda has been named Additional Director General of Police for Prisons and Correctional Services, and Tekkannavar leads Bengaluru police intelligence while Balakrishna and Girish await assignment.
• Vikash challenged his suspension before the Central Administrative Tribunal, which quashed the order on July 1, and the Karnataka government has appealed that decision in the High Court.
