Karnataka Man Dies by Suicide, Alleging Harassment by Wife

Petaru Gollapalli, a 40-year-old man from Hubballi, Karnataka, was found dead at his home on Sunday after leaving a suicide note blaming his wife for harassment.
The couple, married for two years, had been living separately after frequent disputes and his wife had filed for divorce, demanding ₹20 lakh as alimony.
Family members allege that Petaru faced mental harassment and physical assault, including an incident involving his wife's elder brother, which was reported to the police.
Petaru had recently lost his job, adding to the strain in the relationship, according to his family, who are now demanding the arrest of his wife.
A case under Section 108 (abetment to suicide) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered against the wife, with police continuing their investigation.
