Karnataka Lok Adalat Clears 1.13 Lakh Cases and Secures ₹88 Crore Through Conciliation

  • Chamarajanagar’s July 12 session disposed of 1,01,431 disputes—3,271 pending court cases and 98,160 pre-litigation matters—yielding ₹16.15 crore in fines and settlements.
  • Mysuru courts identified 39,640 cases fit for compromise, took up 22,161 matters, and finalised 11,674 agreements worth ₹72.24 crore.
  • Family dispute settlements led to the reconciliation of four couples in Chamarajanagar and 44 couples across Mysuru city and its taluks.
  • The statewide drive under the Legal Services Authorities Act offered fee waivers and virtual hearings to foster low-cost, expedited settlements.
  • Judges and district officials credited coordinated efforts by lawyers, police, banks and government agencies for the Adalats’ record results.
