Overview
- Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the Terminal 2 domestic-bay outlet spanning 132 square metres.
- The Department of Industries set up the store to present and sell Karnataka’s traditional and GI-certified products to domestic and international travellers.
- The collection features 45 GI-certified items, including Mysore sandal soap, Mysore silk, Channapatna toys, coffee and Bidriware.
- State-backed entities KSDL, Karnataka Handloom Development Corporation, KSIC, the Coffee Board and LIDKAR jointly supported the initiative.
- Airport authorities have also allotted 140 square metres for an international departure outlet that officials say will open soon.
