Overview
- The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board published provisional SSLC timetables on Oct. 9–10, 2026, making subject dates, timings and rules available for public review.
- The schedules set two exam windows with Exam 1 running from March 22 to April 5, 2027 and Exam 2 from May 24 to May 31, 2027.
- Standard exam times are defined by paper type: first-language, core and JTS papers 10:00–13:15; second- and third-language papers 10:00–13:00; NSQF papers 10:00–12:15; Hindustani and Carnatic music 14:00–17:15 with separate theory and practical slots, and all papers include a 15-minute reading time.
- JTS practical and oral exams will be conducted at schools with Exam 1 practicals on April 6, 2027 and Exam 2 practicals on June 1, 2027, and the timetable specifies extra writing time for differently abled students based on paper length.
- The dates are provisional and open to objections until October 22, 2026, after which the board will review submissions and issue a final timetable so students, parents and schools should monitor official KSEAB notices for updates.
