Karnataka Approves ₹4 Hike in Nandini Milk Prices Starting April 1

The price increase aims to support dairy farmers, but has drawn criticism from the BJP for burdening consumers.

The Karnataka government has finalized a ₹4 per litre increase in Nandini milk prices, effective April 1, 2025, following farmer demands.
The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) stated that the additional revenue generated from the price hike will directly benefit dairy farmers.
This is the second price hike in less than a year, with a previous ₹2 increase implemented in June 2024.
The BJP has criticized the Congress-led government, calling the price hike anti-poor and an added burden on the common man.
KMF also announced plans to expand Nandini milk distribution to Haryana as part of its North India growth strategy.
