Karlos May Commits to Ohio State

An official visit to Columbus convinced the Alabama defensive lineman that Ohio State offered the best path for his development.

The commitment, announced July 18, 2026, was revealed live on Rivals’ YouTube when May put on an Ohio State hat to signal his pledge.
May said his official visit to Ohio State in late June “changed everything” and was the decisive factor that shifted him from Georgia to the Buckeyes.
At 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds, May is a four-star interior defensive lineman ranked among the top prospects nationally and adds depth to Ohio State’s 2027 trench group.
Ohio State’s class moved up in recruiting rankings after the pledge and staff emphasis on defensive-line development under coach Larry Johnson was a major reason May chose the program.
The commitment is verbal and non-binding until the December signing period, and Auburn is expected to continue recruiting May through signing day.
