Karl Vilips Claims First PGA Tour Win at Puerto Rico Open

The 23-year-old Australian rookie secured victory with a record-breaking 26-under score in just his fourth PGA Tour start.

Karl Vilips, a Stanford graduate and Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red ambassador, won the Puerto Rico Open with a final-round 64, finishing at 26-under par.
His victory grants him a two-year PGA Tour exemption and entries into The Players Championship and the PGA Championship later this season.
Vilips overcame a strong challenge from Denmark’s Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, who briefly took the lead with six consecutive birdies on the back nine.
This marks Vilips as the youngest PGA Tour winner since July 2024 and the first rookie to win this season.
Tiger Woods personally congratulated Vilips, highlighting their partnership through the Sun Day Red brand, which Vilips has represented since February.
