Overview

• Central Railway’s four-day traffic and power block for Karjat yard remodelling runs Oct 11–14 with multiple windows, including Oct 12 from 7:20 am to 6:20 pm and Oct 13–14 from 11:20 am to 2:20 pm.
• Intercity services affected include cancellations or alterations to Pragati Express, Deccan Queen, Deccan Express, Indrayani Express, Sinhagad Express, Intercity Express, and the CSMT–Solapur Vande Bharat.
• Local operations on the Karjat–Neral and Karjat–Khopoli routes are suspended during block periods, with additional three-hour halts on Oct 13 and 14 from 11:20 am to 2:20 pm.
• Western Railway’s maintenance jumbo block runs today from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on the Up Fast lines between Borivali–Ram Mandir and the 5th line between Ram Mandir–Kandivali, with select suburban cancellations and short workings to Goregaon.
• Officials say the works include replacing old crossings, slewing lines, adding a link to the Karjat–Panvel section and a fourth line toward Palasdhari, and that notified passengers will receive refunds per policy.
