Karimnagar Circle Completes 100% RTFMS–SCADA Integration

The upgrade gives Karimnagar real‑time feeder telemetry and faster fault detection, signaling a rapid scale‑up of the system across TGNPDCL.

Overview

  • TGNPDCL announced on Friday that Karimnagar Circle has integrated all 82 substations with the Real‑Time Feeder Monitoring System linked to SCADA, making it the first circle to reach full coverage.
  • The utility has completed integration at 1,005 substations so far and says the remaining 419 substations will be connected within about two months.
  • RTFMS provides continuous feeder‑level telemetry, immediate outage alerts, overload warnings, real‑time data analysis and direct alerts to field staff to speed fault diagnosis and restoration.
  • State energy leadership is driving the rollout: TGNPDCL CMD K. Varun Reddy announced the milestone and credited Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Special Chief Secretary Navin Mittal for oversight.
  • TGNPDCL identified 1,424 substations for the program overall, and officials expect circles such as Hanumakonda, Khammam and Komaram Bheem‑Asifabad to reach full integration soon, which should reduce outage times and improve day‑to‑day reliability for consumers.
