Overview
- A trial double-decker service began on December 31 with public operations from January 1 on a 22-kilometre Malir–Shahrah-e-Faisal corridor, charging Rs80–Rs120 based on distance.
- The Orange and Green BRT corridors are now connected for single-card travel, removing the need to pay separate fares for end-to-end journeys.
- Orange Line service has been extended from four to 10 stops, enabling travel from Orangi to Nagan Chowrangi and allowing Orange buses to use the Green Line track.
- Officials say Green Line daily ridership has increased under provincial management and they are targeting about 100,000 passengers per day.
- The province plans to expand double-decker routes, provide fare subsidies, and has resumed work on the Red Line and other bus services.
