Conditional permits aim to keep pavements clear through NOCs, affidavits, joint checks.

Overview

  • The city commissioner put a zero tolerance ban on tables, chairs and obstructions by eateries on roads 100 feet wide or more.
  • Roads are now classified into three categories, with use of public space limited or barred based on width.
  • On roads below 100 feet, outlets may operate only after securing a one-year NOC with joint verification by municipal officers, traffic police and the mukhtiarkar.
  • Deputy commissioners de-sealed 255 cafés and tea shops after owners and associations gave written assurances to follow the SOPs.
