Karachi Cantt Station Overhaul Completed Ahead of PM Shehbaz’s Visit

• Pakistan Railways finished the renovation on schedule under Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi, who personally monitored progress in Karachi.
• Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is due today to review the site and inaugurate the refurbished Shalimar Express along with new passenger facilities.
• New amenities include two CIP lounges, three waiting halls, four escalators, executive washrooms, POS ticketing and installed ATMs.
• A QR code complaint system, standardized stalls and a modern public announcement setup aim to improve guidance and service.
• A partnership with the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board will provide round-the-clock mechanical cleaning of the station and nearby tracks.
