The procedure, known as fixed prosthodontics, is said to be unlike anything that has been done before and is described as experimental dentistry.
The dentures, which are permanent and fixed, were designed by Ye and a team of dentists and cosmetic surgeons. The procedure was carried out by Beverly Hills-based dentist Dr. Thomas Connelly and reportedly cost $850,000.
Despite initial rumors, Ye's natural teeth were not removed for the procedure. Dr. Connelly confirmed that Ye still has a full set of natural teeth.
