Jennifer An, a former model and reality TV contestant, has filed a lawsuit accusing Kanye West of sexual assault and gender-motivated violence during a 2010 music video shoot for La Roux's 'In for the Kill.'
The lawsuit alleges West choked An, smothered her face, and forced his fingers into her throat in an act meant to simulate forced oral sex, while declaring, 'This is art. I am like Picasso.'
An claims West selected her from a lineup of models on set, directing her to sit beside him while wearing lingerie, before the alleged assault took place in front of others present.
The lawsuit also names Universal Music Group, alleging the company perpetuated a culture of sexual harassment by continuing to work with male artists accused of abuse.
An is seeking a jury trial and damages for emotional, physical, and reputational harm, while West and Universal Music Group have yet to publicly comment on the allegations.
