Kansas Tops Big 12 Preseason Poll with Hunter Dickinson as Star Player

Kansas is favored to win the Big 12, with Houston and Iowa State closely trailing in the coaches' poll.

Hunter Dickinson of Kansas was unanimously selected as the preseason player of the year, following his impressive performance last season.
Houston, last season's regular-season champion, was voted second with five first-place votes.
Arizona, a newcomer to the league, earned a first-place vote and was ranked fifth in the poll.
Baylor's Jeremy Roach and Kansas State's Coleman Hawkins were named co-newcomers of the year, while VJ Edgecombe of Baylor was selected as the freshman of the year.
