Kansas Teen Impaled by Pliers in Freak Accident

After slipping on ice, 15-year-old Joey Zeman was flown to Wichita for treatment, with a CT scan revealing the pliers embedded in his bone.

15-year-old Joey Zeman was impaled by a pair of pliers after slipping on ice while helping with snow removal.
He was taken to a hospital in WaKeeney, Kansas, where medical staff were shocked by the severity of the incident.
Zeman was then flown by helicopter to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for further treatment.
A CT scan revealed that the pliers had become embedded in his bone, but no major organs were affected.
After spending a night in the hospital, Zeman was discharged and able to return home.
