Ayoka Lee, K-State's standout center, has been named the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year by the conference's coaches.
The Wildcats are coming off a successful season with 26 wins, the most since 2002-03, and return four starters including senior guard Serena Sundell.
S’Mya Nichols of Kansas Jayhawks also received preseason All-Big 12 honors, with Kansas predicted to finish eighth in the conference.
