  • Six classification tournaments for softball and baseball began May 29 at sites including Arrocha Ball Park in Lawrence, Wilkins Stadium in Wichita and the Green Sports Complex in Pratt.
  • No. 1 seed Olathe West (25-1) led Thursday’s Class 6A softball bracket against Topeka High while top-seed Lawrence Free State (25-2) faced Washburn Rural in baseball.
