Kansas State rewards basketball coach Jerome Tang with new 7-year contract after turnaround season

Kansas State signed men's basketball coach Jerome Tang to a new seven-year contract through 2029-30.
Tang led the Wildcats to a huge turnaround in his first season, taking them to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament
The new contract will pay Tang $3 million this season, rising annually to $3.6 million in the final year.
Tang was named the Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year for his successful first season.
Kansas State athletic director Gene Taylor praised Tang's relationships with players and rebuilding of the program.
