Kansas State Lands Oregon Transfer Dezdrick Lindsay

The 6-foot-6 forward gives new coach Casey Alexander another portal addition during the NCAA’s condensed April window.

Overview

  • Lindsay committed to the Wildcats on Friday, April 10, in a move reported by The Athletic minutes after Kansas State added Colorado State guard Brandon Rechsteiner.
  • He played 32 games for Oregon last season, starting eight and averaging 5.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 20.5 minutes while shooting 40.3% from the field and 32.8% from three.
  • The Louisville native has one year of eligibility left after two JUCO seasons at Florida SouthWestern and an injury redshirt in 2024–25 at Oregon.
  • Kansas State is rebuilding after a 12–20 season that led to Jerome Tang’s February firing, with Alexander arriving from Belmont as several Wildcats, including leading scorer PJ Haggerty, entered the portal.
  • The transfer window runs April 7–21, and Alexander’s early roster includes fellow transfers Rechsteiner and Brock Vice, incoming freshmen Devin Hutcherson and Jaylen Alexander, and returner Andrej Kostic.
