Kansas City Chiefs Re-Sign Kareem Hunt on One-Year Deal

Kareem Hunt has signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs worth up to $2.5 million, including a $1.5 million base salary and performance-based incentives.
Hunt played for the Chiefs in 2024 after being called up midseason following Isiah Pacheco's injury and led the team with 728 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in the regular season.
The 29-year-old running back also contributed during the playoffs, rushing for 117 yards and two touchdowns across three games without any fumbles.
Hunt originally joined the Chiefs as a third-round draft pick in 2017 but was released in 2018 after a video surfaced showing him in a physical altercation with a woman.
Despite the addition of Elijah Mitchell to the Chiefs' backfield, Hunt's reliability and performance last season earned him another opportunity with the team.
