Kanpur Cricket Coach Accused of Drugging and Sexually Assaulting 12-Year-Old Student

- The victim disclosed the abuse to her mother, who promptly filed a complaint at the Panki police station.
- An FIR has been lodged against Sharma under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, and other relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
- Police have stated that Sharma is currently absconding, and efforts are underway to apprehend him through ongoing raids.
