- He was brought to Kasturba Medical College Hospital at about 1:30 a.m. on Monday and died there on Monday evening after an urgent angioplasty, hospital officials said.
- He had been in Hebri for a Kannada film shoot when he experienced severe chest and breathing problems, according to the hospital’s medical superintendent.
- His family said the last rites will be held in Chikkasindgi in Vijayapura district on Tuesday, with the public allowed to pay respects at Dharwad Rangayana’s Suvarna Cultural Complex from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.
