Kalen DeBoer Officially Introduced as Alabama's New Football Coach

DeBoer plans to keep the program's doors wide-open to retired coach Nick Saban, who will remain around the program and help in any way possible.

Alabama's athletic director Greg Byrne had a plan in place to replace football coach Nick Saban well before Saban announced his retirement publicly last Wednesday.
Byrne was not surprised by Saban's retirement and had been preparing for that moment since he became Alabama's athletic director in 2017.
Byrne and his wife, Regina, flew to Seattle and interviewed Kalen DeBoer on Thursday. DeBoer’s wife, Nicole, was present.
DeBoer was officially introduced as Alabama’s football coach on Saturday.
