Kaitlyn Dever Joins Cast of Upcoming 'Godzilla x Kong' Sequel

Kaitlyn Dever, known for her roles in 'The Last of Us' and 'Dopesick,' has been confirmed as a lead in the untitled third 'Godzilla x Kong' film.
Grant Sputore, director of 'I Am Mother,' will helm the sequel, taking over from Adam Wingard, with a script by Dave Callaham of 'Shang-Chi' fame.
The sequel aims to balance its epic monster action with more character-driven human storytelling, a shift from previous installments.
The MonsterVerse franchise continues to expand after the success of 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,' which grossed $571.9 million globally.
The film, set for release on March 26, 2027, will feature Godzilla, Kong, and additional Titans facing a world-ending threat.
