Overview

• Aqua Outback, led by former national kiteboarding champion Arjun Motha, is organising the event with support from Tamil Nadu Tourism and the state government.
• Competitions will feature Stand-Up Paddling, Kiteboarding, Kitesurfing, Kayaking and a Beach Obstacle Race.
• More than 150 athletes are registered, including entrants from Vietnam, Sri Lanka and the Maldives alongside competitors from multiple Indian states.
• Each sport includes Juniors, Seniors and Open divisions for men and women to encourage broad participation.
• The programme adds a Coastal Food Festival, sunset yoga, fitness workshops, beach clean-ups and ocean awareness efforts with outreach to the local fishing community.
