Overview

• Police say 25-year-old Jordan Ahola is in custody after a Sept. 27 incident that began with a felony menacing call on Centennial Boulevard.
• Before officers arrived, the victim's belongings were set on fire, threatening nearby homes until Colorado Springs Fire crews contained the blaze and aided the victim.
• As firefighters worked, windows of nearby businesses and vehicles were smashed, with CSPD estimating thousands of dollars in damage.
• Officers tracked the sound of breaking glass to 3400 Centennial Boulevard, where Ahola allegedly refused to drop a crowbar, raised it, and advanced toward them.
• After warnings, K9 Riggs pursued when Ahola tried to run, bit his arm, and helped officers disarm and arrest him; he was treated for minor injuries and booked into the El Paso County Jail.
