The misstep led to an online increase in searches for Texas Rangers jerseys, with a surge of 1,328% reported by Betway, a sports betting site, irrespective of the Texas Ranger's performance in the World Series.
While some fans joked about 'unstanning' the band over the mix-up on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), others seemed amused by the incident, expressing approval and even considering becoming Rangers fans.
The group usually wears sports jerseys that represent the town they’re performing in. For instance, they wore Mariners jerseys in Seattle and had accurately sported gear of the local sports teams in previous US tour stops like Brooklyn and Chicago.
