Yarraji announced on social media that Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala successfully repaired her torn right ACL on July 11 in New Delhi.
The procedure definitively rules her out of the Tokyo World Championships in September and concludes her 2025 season.
Her coach, James Hillier, and the Athletics Federation of India will oversee a minimum six-month rehabilitation timetable.
Before the injury, the Asian champion’s 12.96-second hurdles win at the Asian Championships had put her in contention for Worlds via the world-ranking quota.
Yarraji, national record holder and Asian Games silver medallist, is targeting a return to competition in early 2026.
