Juvenile Charged in Montgomery Mass Shooting That Killed 2 and Wounded 12

  • Montgomery police arrested an unnamed male juvenile on Oct. 10 and booked him into the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
  • The suspect is charged with one count of capital murder, nine counts of first-degree assault, and three counts of second-degree assault.
  • Gunfire broke out around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 near Bibb and Commerce streets after a targeted individual exchanged fire and others in the crowd opened fire.
  • The victims killed were identified as 17-year-old Jeremiah Morris and 43-year-old Shalanda Williams, and 12 additional people were injured.
  • Investigators posted an arrest video, recovered multiple weapons and shell casings, and expect more arrests while urging tips to CrimeStoppers, the Secret Witness line, or MPD.
