Juvenile Arrested After Stolen SUV Pursuit in South Louisville

Troopers tracked the Mazda to Pleasure Ridge Park following Hardin County's recovery of a separate stolen Mercedes.

  • Kentucky State Police said the Hardin County Sheriff's Office alerted them around 2:30 a.m. that a white Mercedes stolen from Elizabethtown had been found abandoned in Radcliff.
  • Troopers learned a white Mazda SUV from the same neighborhood was likely in Louisville and located it near Greenwood Road and Terry Road in Pleasure Ridge Park.
  • When troopers attempted a traffic stop, the driver fled, and a short chase ended near Terry Road and Tearose Drive before the juvenile ran on foot and was taken into custody without further incident.
  • No injuries were reported, and assistance was provided by other Post 4 troopers and Louisville Metro Police, according to local reports.
  • The juvenile faces charges including first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, receiving stolen property of $10,000 or more, and first-degree criminal mischief, and remains in juvenile custody as the investigation continues.
