Overview

  • DOJ published audio and full transcripts from Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche’s two-day July interview with Ghislaine Maxwell, conducted under limited immunity.
  • Maxwell denied the existence of a “client list” and said she never saw President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton or other prominent men act inappropriately with women.
  • She said she does not believe Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, offering no alternative explanation, as DOJ and FBI have previously affirmed a suicide finding.
  • The department also delivered a first tranche containing thousands of pages of Epstein-related documents to the House Oversight Committee, which plans to review and release materials after redactions.
  • Two Manhattan judges recently rejected DOJ bids to unseal grand jury records, with Judge Richard Berman calling the effort a diversion and noting the Epstein grand jury saw about 70 pages and heard from one FBI witness.
