Just Cause Movie Moves Forward with New Writer and Director

Universal Pictures confirms Aaron Rabin as screenwriter and Ángel Manuel Soto as director for the long-awaited adaptation of the popular video game series.

Aaron Rabin, known for his work on 'Jack Ryan' and 'Nobody 2,' has been announced as the screenwriter for Universal's 'Just Cause' adaptation.
The film will be directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, who previously helmed 'Blue Beetle' and recently completed production on 'The Wrecking Crew.'
Producers David Leitch and Kelly McCormick, known for action films like 'John Wick' and 'Bullet Train,' are attached to the project through their 87North production company.
The movie will be based on the 'Just Cause' video game series, which follows protagonist Rico Rodriguez in his mission to overthrow oppressive regimes using explosive, over-the-top action.
Although casting and plot details remain under wraps, the project marks a significant step forward after years of development challenges since its initial announcement in 2010.
