Jury Dismisses Retaliation Lawsuit Against LSU Officials

Former Athletics Administrator Sharon Lewis had accused the university of retaliation after reporting alleged inappropriate behavior by head football coach.

Sharon Lewis, a former athletics administrator at Louisiana State University (LSU), had filed a lawsuit accusing top officials of retaliation after she reported alleged inappropriate sexual behavior by head football coach Les Miles.
The jury dismissed the lawsuit after six days of testimony.
Lewis alleged that she was denied pay raises and subjected to verbal abuse after reporting the allegations against Miles, including her accusation that he told her there were 'too many Black girls' employed in athletics.
She also claimed that a female student had accused Miles of 'getting on top of her' on his office couch.
LSU countered that Lewis was not preyed upon, subjected to a hostile workplace or discriminated against because of her gender.
