Jury Deliberates in Jonathan Majors' Domestic Violence Trial

Actor Faces Four Charges Following Allegations by Ex-Girlfriend Grace Jabbari

Jonathan Majors, a rising Hollywood star, is facing four charges of misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment and harassment following allegations of domestic violence by his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
Jabbari alleges that Majors struck her on the side of the head, twisted her arm behind her back, and squeezed her finger until it broke during a dispute in a car in March 2023.
During the trial, the defense portrayed Jabbari as a liar who concocted a story of an abusive relationship as revenge after catching Majors texting another woman. They also suggested that Jabbari was the aggressor during the incident.
The prosecution argued that Majors' alleged actions were part of a pattern of control, domination, manipulation, and abuse. They pointed to past incidents and text messages as evidence of Majors' attempts to control Jabbari.
The jury began deliberations on Thursday, December 14, 2023. If convicted, Majors could face up to a year in jail.
