Jurors Capture Convicted Child Abuser Fleeing Maine Courthouse

Carter attempted to flee the courthouse in Skowhegan, Maine, while still handcuffed, shortly after the verdict.
Two jurors and a detective quickly apprehended Carter after he tripped and fell in a nearby yard.
Carter faces an additional charge of escape following the incident.
He has been ordered to jail and will remain in custody until his sentencing hearing, which is expected in the coming weeks.
