- Defense attorneys filed an extraordinary motion Thursday in Cobb County Superior Court arguing a juror lied about being a sexual-assault victim to get on the panel and then pushed other jurors toward a death sentence.
- Judge Tyler Browning has scheduled expedited hearings this week to hear the motion and a separate motions hearing, and his rulings will determine whether the Sept. 16 execution proceeds or is delayed.
