• Junji Ito’s induction marks his fifth Eisner honor in recognition of his influence in horror manga with the Tomie series.
• Shigeru Mizuki, creator of GeGeGe no Kitaro, was also enshrined and lauded by judges as one of Japan’s most respected artists.
• Ito previously secured four Eisner Awards between 2016 and 2021, including the 2021 Best Asia Work award for Hellstar Remina.
