• On July 15, Jungkook launched @mnijungkook and joined RM and V on an unannounced Instagram Live to reveal the username stands for “My Name Is Jungkook.”
• The account surged past one million followers in under an hour and reached 6.8 million within 24 hours despite having no posts or profile picture.
• The surprise livestream marked the first joint Instagram broadcast featuring Jungkook, RM and V since they began their mandatory military duties.
• All seven BTS members have now completed South Korea’s military service and gathered in Los Angeles to begin recording their spring 2026 comeback album.
• The band has confirmed plans to release the new album next spring and embark on a global tour in support of it.
